Destiny 2 Without Remorse: The Ultimate God Rolls for PvE and PvP

Destiny 2 offers an array of powerful shotguns, but the Without Remorse is, unfortunately, not among the best. However, this doesn’t mean it’s entirely useless. In fact, it has some intriguing features that make it worth discussing. So, let’s take a closer look at my two recommended god rolls for the Without Remorse, one for PvE and the other for PvP. While these may not be universally agreed upon as the definitive god rolls, I believe they offer the best combination of perks. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!

The Without Remorse is a peculiar weapon. It boasts S-tier perks like Incandescent and One-Two Punch, but it falls short in terms of overall performance. Its third column, in particular, lacks strength, making Incandescent an unfavorable choice when alternatives like the Calus Mini-Tool or Drang are available to complement your shotgun.

With that in mind, this god roll focuses on the synergy between One-Two Punch and Well-Rounded, particularly when paired with certain builds. Both perks revolve around your melee abilities, making this shotgun an excellent choice for instant recharge melee builds such as hammer Titans.

Let’s start by discussing the barrel options. Smallbore and Assault Mag are logical choices here. While projectile spread is not crucial in PvE, Full Choke is unnecessary. Instead, prioritize barrel range, and in this case, Smallbore is a reliable option. For the ammo perk, Assault Mag takes the spotlight. This perk significantly increases your rate of fire, enabling you to dish out more damage during tight DPS windows.

Now, let’s delve into the melee synergy provided by this Without Remorse god roll. One-Two Punch is infamous for its power and has remained at the top of the META for some time now. For those unfamiliar, if you hit an enemy with every pellet in your shot, your subsequent melee attack deals tremendously increased damage. The damage boost ranges from 200% to a staggering 350% against bosses. This number can be further influenced by other melee exotics and perks, making the hammer Titan a perfect match for this setup.

To amplify the effectiveness of this melee playstyle, the third column perk is Well-Rounded. This lesser-known perk grants you increased stacks of range, handling, and stability whenever you hit an enemy with a grenade or a charged melee. As a hammer Titan, you’ll always have a charged melee at your disposal.

So, the strategy behind this roll is to activate One-Two Punch, land a hit with your charged hammer, trigger Well-Rounded, retrieve your hammer, reactivate One-Two Punch, and repeat until your target is vanquished. Simple, yet highly effective.

Without Remorse PvP God Roll

My main regret with this Without Remorse PvP god roll is that I couldn’t push the weapon’s range into the coveted 70+ range bracket. Even with a range Masterwork, it falls just short due to my decision to retain Full Choke instead of opting for something like Smallbore, which would provide that desired range boost. However, I firmly believe that the tighter pellet spread offered by Full Choke outweighs the slight decrease in range. If you disagree, feel free to experiment with different barrel options.

To compensate for the slightly compromised range, I recommend choosing Accurized Rounds as the ammo perk. It’s a classic go-to choice for god rolls and an S-tier perk in PvP, ensuring your shots have the maximum impact.

Unfortunately, the god roll options for the Without Remorse in PvP are limited. As an 80 RPM shotgun, it already faces some popularity challenges, and the absence of perks like Snapshot Sights or Quickdraw further hinders its potential.

In this setup, I suggest utilizing Hip-Fire Grip and Fragile Focus. Hip-Fire Grip enhances your aim assist when firing from the hip, which is something you’ll frequently do with a shotgun in Crucible. Fragile Focus operates differently. If you haven’t taken any damage in the last five seconds, this perk activates, granting you bonus range and potentially pushing you into the 70+ range bracket. However, it’s quite situational, as any damage you incur will deactivate the perk. Therefore, speed and precision in your gunfights become crucial.

Unfortunately, that’s the extent of the PvP potential for the Without Remorse. While it may hold some promise in PvE, its usage in endgame activities remains limited due to the declining popularity of shotguns. In PvP, the weapon is outclassed by numerous alternatives, such as the Compass Rose. Nonetheless, if you’re curious and want to test it out, feel free to do so. Just keep in mind that it might not be the best choice for serious engagements.

In conclusion, the Destiny 2 Without Remorse possesses a unique charm despite not being a top-tier shotgun. With the right perks and builds, it can deliver enjoyable experiences in both PvE and PvP. Always remember to consider your playstyle and experiment with different rolls to find the one that suits you best.
