Destiny 2’s Season of the Plunder has just begun, offering players a new set of weekly challenges for Season 18 that can be completed for substantial XP gains. If you’re new to the game and unfamiliar with how these challenges work, don’t worry. We’re here to explain everything you need to know.

How to Access the Weekly Challenges in Destiny 2

Accessing the weekly challenges in Destiny 2 is simple. They will automatically appear in the quests menu in the director. These challenges are organized by week, with the current week’s challenges displayed at the top. By clicking on the menu, you can track your progress for each challenge. A new set of challenges will become available every week after the Destiny 2 weekly reset.

Destiny 2: Season of Plunder Challenges – Week 1

Here are the challenges that went live on August 23 with the launch of the new season:

Title: Successful Expedition
- Description: Obtain Plundered Umbral Energy from bonus chests in Expeditions.
- Task: Unlock Treasure Chests, obtain 3 Plundered Umbral Energy.
- Rewards: Challenger XP, Repute Legendary Material
Title: Antiquarian I
- Description: Return the first relic to the H.E.L.M. Also, defeat combatants on Europa. Bonus progress for Fusion Rifle kills.
- Task: Place the Relic, kill 200 Combatants with a Fusion Rifle.
- Rewards: Challenger XP, Repute Legendary Material
Title: Fire Discipline
- Description: Complete Ketchcrash activities and activate cannons aboard your Ketch.
- Task: Complete 3 Ketchcrash activities, activate 5 cannons.
- Rewards: Challenger XP
Title: Shaper I
- Description: Shape three unique Seasonal weapons.
- Task: Shape 3 weapons.
- Rewards: Challenger XP
Title: Europa Activities
- Description: Earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors on Europa.
- Task: Make 18 points of progress.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
Title: Taking All Challenges
- Description: Complete weekly playlist challenges.
- Task: Complete 3 challenges.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
Title: Long-Range Calibration
- Description: Calibrate long-range weapons (Pulse Rifles, Bows, Trace Rifles) on Europa. Bonus progress in Lost Sectors.
- Task: Calibrate 100 weapons.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
Title: Dredgin’ Up Victory
- Description: Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.
- Task: Make 15 points of progress.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
Title: Flourish of Power
- Description: Defeat Guardians in the Mayhem playlist using Super abilities.
- Task: Defeat 50 Guardians.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
Title: The Fallen Fall
- Description: Defeat Fallen combatants in Vanguard playlists or strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
- Task: Defeat 200 Fallen combatants.
- Rewards: Challenger XP+, Bright Dust
