Osteo Striga God Roll Guide – Destiny 2

The arrival of the Strand subclass with Lightfall has once again made the Oste Striga a popular choice for Strand builds. This 600 RPM Submachine Gun shoots projectiles instead of bullets, with decent tracking and automatic seeking of enemies when fired in their vicinity. Each projectile deals 5 damage per tick.

In a previous article, I covered how to obtain this weapon. Now, let’s dive into the rolls you should aim for when “Shaping” or “Re-shaping” the Osteo Striga.

Osteo Striga God Roll for PvE

The definition of a God Roll may vary for different individuals, but for me, an ideal Osteo Striga PvE God Roll would be:

Intrinsic Perk: Screaming Swarm (no changes needed)
Barrel: Fluted Barrel (for enhanced stability and handling speed)
Magazine: Flared Magwell (reload speed is more important than range in PvE)
Trait: Toxic Overload (no changes needed)
Stock: Composite Stock (to further increase handling speed)
Catalyst: Osteo Striga Catalyst (a must-have for a God Roll, as poison final blows return ammo to your magazine)

Osteo Striga God Roll for PvP

Again, the concept of a God Roll may differ for different players. In my opinion, an optimal Osteo Striga PvP God Roll should include:

Intrinsic Perk: Screaming Swarm (no changes needed)
Barrel: Fluted Barrel (for improved stability and handling speed)
Magazine: Accurized Round (considered the best PvP magazine perk for an SMG)
Trait: Toxic Overload (no changes needed)
Stock: Composite Stock (to further enhance handling speed)
Catalyst: Osteo Striga Catalyst (essential for a God Roll, as poison final blows return ammo to your magazine)

Remember, to unlock all mods and the Catalyst, you must reach Level 10 with your Osteo Striga. Additionally, the Catalyst requires Ascendant Alloy x3, 140 Ruinous Element x140, and Neutral Element x2000.

Although it’s possible to craft the weapon without the Catalyst, its effectiveness will be significantly higher with the Catalyst equipped. Therefore, I recommend waiting until you have all the necessary resources before crafting your God Roll Osteo Striga.

If you find yourself torn between the PvP and PvE versions of the Osteo Striga and can’t decide which one to craft, I suggest going for the PvP God Roll. It can be easily used in PvE as well.

That’s all for now, folks!
