Destiny 2 Revision Zero: Obtaining the Exotic Pulse Rifle (Season 22) & Ideal Perks

Revision Zero is a powerful Exotic pulse rifle that not only deals significant damage but also possesses a unique ability to stun Anti-Barrier Champions. Previously inaccessible, this Exotic pulse rifle can now be obtained through the new Exotic Mission Rotator.

How to Acquire Revision Zero this Season

Revision Zero can be obtained by completing the Operation: Seraph Shield exotic mission on any difficulty level. This mission is part of the Exotic Mission Rotator, which means you can only farm Operation: Seraph Shield and Revision Zero once every three weeks.

Revision Zero is Now Craftable

If you missed out on acquiring Revision Zero previously, don’t worry! The weapon has made a comeback and can now be easily obtained by completing Operation: Seraph Shield. The best part is that Revision Zero is now craftable. Here’s what Bungie has to say about it:

  • On your first completion of the mission, you’ll receive the Exotic Deepsight weapon associated with the mission. Extracting or dismantling this weapon will grant you the pattern.
  • Subsequent completions of the mission will award intrinsic upgrades that can be used when crafting the Exotic weapon.

The Power of Revision Zero this Season

Revision Zero boasts unique Exotic perks that make it stand out from other weapons:

  • Hunter’s Trace: This weapon fires shield-piercing ammunition, and precision hits grant targeting data. Swapping to the alternate scope loads high-damage rounds based on the amount of targeting data. It excels against Barrier Champions.
  • Moving Target: Enhances movement speed and target acquisition when aiming down sights while moving.

As a craftable weapon, Revision Zero can be customized to suit both PvE and PvP needs. Its craftability also allows for adaptability to the ever-changing meta in Destiny 2.

Following the 7.0.5 update, Revision Zero received substantial buffs. It now enjoys a 20% damage increase to Pulse Rifles, a 25% increase in PvE damage for its Hunter’s Trace rounds, and a whopping 75% increase in PvE damage for its Häkke Heavy Burst rounds.

These buffs make Revision Zero a formidable choice for endgame content such as Grandmaster Nightfalls and even PvP. If you prefer a hard-hitting Pulse Rifle for PvE or want to excel in long-range engagements in PvP, this weapon is for you.

Ideal PvE God Rolls for Revision Zero

For PvE, the following perks are highly recommended:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk 1: Vorpal Weapon
  • Stock: Fitted Stock
  • Mode: Häkke Light Burst Fire

Revision Zero possesses the innate ability to stun Anti-barrier Champions, making it an excellent choice for endgame activities where Champions are prevalent. Prioritize Stability and Recoil control to maximize its benefits in such situations. Arrowhead Break and Ricochet Rounds will significantly enhance shot consistency.

Vorpal Weapon adds a substantial 20% damage increase against mini-bosses, bosses, and Champions. Combine this with Fitted Stock, and you’ll have a precise and laser-focused Exotic weapon.

Ideal PvP God Rolls for Revision Zero

In PvP, recoil control is essential for this hard-hitting Pulse Rifle. Opt for the following perks:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Break
  • Magazine: Ricochet Rounds
  • Perk 1: Perpetual Motion (or Elemental Capacitor when using a Void or Stasis subclass)
  • Stock: Fitted Stock
  • Mode: Häkke Light Burst Fire

Arrowhead Break provides a full +30 to Recoil control, ensuring that your bursts remain centralized during engagements. Pair this with Ricochet Rounds for increased Stability and Range, allowing Revision Zero to consistently hit its target.

As Revision Zero is craftable, you have room for customization. Perpetual Motion is an excellent choice, providing benefits while engaged and strafing. Combine this with Fitted Stock to further improve Stability and Recoil control, giving you the most controllable version of Revision Zero in PvP.

Searching for Revision Zero Catalysts?

Like other Exotics available through the Exotic Mission Rotator, Revision Zero’s Exotic catalyst can be obtained from the Legendary version of Operation: Seraph Shield. Each completion of the Legendary version of the mission will reward a Catalyst upgrade for the crafted Exotic weapon.

Here are the four distinct catalysts available for Revision Zero:

  • Frenzy Refit (Feeding Frenzy): Each rapid kill progressively increases reload speed for a short time.
  • Pressurized Refit (Under Pressure): Improved stability and accuracy as the magazine gets lower.
  • Outlaw Refit (Outlaw): Precision kills greatly decrease reload time.
  • 4-Timer Refit (Fourth Time’s the Charm): Rapidly landing precision hits will return two rounds to the magazine.

Unlocking the Catalyst Efficiently

To unlock the catalyst as efficiently as possible, consider farming in areas with many easy-to-kill enemies. The Shuro Chi Wall encounter from the Last Wish raid is a particularly popular spot for catalyst farming.
