These two optimal Beloved rolls are designed to maximize the sniper’s effectiveness in all areas of Destiny 2. I’ve compiled a roll for PvE and another for PvP, ensuring there’s something here for you regardless of your weapon plans.
Beloved is undeniably one of the top snipers in recent memory, consistently ranking high in terms of PvP weapon usage. This is partly due to the god roll I’m showcasing today.
But that’s not all – it also boasts a pretty decent PvE roll. Although it won’t surpass Izanagi’s anytime soon, it delivers exceptional damage for a legendary sniper.

Destiny 2 Beloved God Rolls
Beloved PvE God Roll

This Destiny 2 Beloved PvE god roll embodies the quintessential endgame sniper. The combination of Fourth Time’s the Charm and Box Breathing makes it reminiscent of the overpowered snipers of the past, such as Black Spindle. Of course, it doesn’t quite match the effectiveness of that sniper, but it can still deal significant damage.
Let’s start with the Fluted Barrel, which doesn’t have a substantial impact. Barrel modifications are less crucial for snipers compared to shotguns, but it’s still worth considering. I chose Fluted Barrel for the increased handling it provides.
Next up is Appended Mag. Although it only adds a single bullet to the magazine, it boosts our damage potential. It also allows for more leeway with Fourth Time’s the Charm. It’s a shame we can’t push the mag count to six. If we could, we would have two Fourth Time’s procs per reload, resulting in a substantial increase in DPS.
Speaking of Fourth Time’s the Charm, perks like this have been sniper staples for almost a decade. Having extra bullets in a sniper’s magazine improves the weapon’s uptime. Since you mainly use snipers for short boss DPS phases, this significantly enhances damage per phase. It’s practically mandatory for taking this sniper into endgame PvE activities.
Lastly, we have Boxed Breathing, a perk that has had a tumultuous history within the Destiny 2 META. In theory, it should have been fantastic. However, in practice, it fell short due to the lengthy delay between shots needed for the perk to activate, negating the damage buff. Fortunately, it has since received a substantial buff, making it much more viable. Waiting 1.5 seconds between shots grants a 31% damage increase. Combined with Fourth Time’s the Charm, Beloved becomes a force capable of dealing significant damage.

As excellent as Beloved is for PvE, snipers tend to shine in PvP environments. This Beloved god roll follows suit. In fact, it’s currently one of the most popular and effective Trials snipers in the entire game.
I’ve retained Fluted Barrel, but that’s where the similarities between the PvE and PvP rolls end. I’ve replaced Appended Mag with High Caliber Rounds for obvious reasons. Having an extra bullet in the magazine doesn’t impact Beloved’s performance in PvP. However, the flinch caused by HCR can determine the outcome of a gunfight, making it crucial.
The Snapshot Sights/Moving Target combination is a match made in heaven and has been a staple in sniper god rolls for years. Snapshot nearly doubles your aim-down-sight (ADS) speed, resulting in a noticeable improvement in your sniping. You’ll be landing difficult shots faster.
Moving Target synergizes perfectly with Snapshot Sights. With faster ADS, you’ll also acquire targets more effectively when looking through the scope. Combining all these perks creates a weapon that can eliminate a moving Guardian’s head from across the map within seconds – essentially, everything you’d want from a sniper.
Even if you don’t engage in PvP often, it wouldn’t hurt to have one of these in your arsenal, just in case. On the PvE side, it’s a formidable sniper that deals substantial damage, even though it isn’t at the top of the META. Nevertheless, if you have the opportunity to acquire one, it’s worth considering. You never know when regular snipers will reign supreme again.
