While we still have quite a few months until Festival of the Lost rolls around, Bungie is wasting no time in preparing the rewards for the Halloween festivities in Destiny 2. In April, the developers announced their plan to introduce another fan-selected armor set that would be featured during the Festival of the Lost. Last year, the dinosaur-themed set triumphed over the monsters. This year, a Mecha-inspired set would compete against a revamped Monster armor. The fans eagerly awaited the results of the poll to discover which armor would take the spotlight in 2022.
Team Mechs vs Team Monsters – The Verdict
The 14th April edition of This Week at Bungie blog post unveiled the outcome of the poll. It revealed that Mechs had narrowly defeated Monsters, capturing 52% of the votes. The Mech armor itself is undeniably impressive, with designs reminiscent of classic Gundam and Sentai. It’s no surprise that they emerged victorious.

For those new to Destiny 2, it’s essential to note that these sets are purely ornamental and do not possess individual stats like proper armor pieces. This means you can continue to flaunt your most powerful gear while looking stylish.
The armor set will be available for purchase using two different currencies: Silver, the premium currency that requires real-life money, and Bright Dust, a farmable currency that players can earn to acquire cosmetics.

Now, we must wait for October to arrive and embark on our journey to obtain the Mech-inspired armor. Without a doubt, Destiny 2 will provide an abundance of content to keep Guardians busy, especially since Season 18 will be in full swing when the Festival of the Lost commences.
