Mounts have made their debut in the Diablo franchise with Diablo 4, allowing players to traverse Sanctuary with both speed and style. A wide variety of unique mounts are available, ranging from ordinary to ethereal. Additionally, players have the opportunity to collect saddles, barding, and tack to enhance their equine companions.
New mount armor is continuously being introduced, and players can expand their collection from various sources. Once a new set of armor is acquired, players can visit any stable to switch between mounts, armor, and trophies. Mount Armor Available for In-Game Currency
There aren’t many armor selections available for purchase in-game. However, players can buy the following with gold:
- Sturdy Saddle – The gold cost of this saddle increases with player level and can be purchased from any stable master.
The remaining armor purchases involve entering the Fields of Hatred, Diablo 4’s PVP areas. To obtain them, players need to collect and purify Seeds of Hatred to earn Red Dust. Once enough dust is accumulated, they can buy the armor from Unconventional Steed Armor Vendors Fariba or Bakir:
- Bloody Warlord’s Barding – 85,000 Red Dust.
- Brutal Wizard’s Barding – 40,000 Red Dust.
- Cruel Assassin’s Barding – 40,000 Red Dust.

Mount Armor Available for Microtransactions in Diablo 4
Several mount armor sets can only be obtained through microtransactions using real money. Players must purchase Platinum and then select their desired armor. The items in the shop change regularly, so the availability may vary. One of these sets, the Scales of the Dead Sea armor, was briefly available for free through Amazon Prime Gaming, and additional rewards may rotate through future promotions.
To check the items purchased from the Blizzard in-game store, players should log into their Battle.net account and go to Transaction History > Virtual Wallet > Diablo IV, which provides a list of platinum credits and purchase records.
