Diablo 4 Sorcerer Class Quest: A Guide to Start and Complete It

In Diablo 4, every class has its own unique quests that players must undertake to unlock special skills and features. The Sorcerer class quest is no exception. If you’re eager to begin and complete the Sorcerer class quest, we have all the information you need. Let’s dive in!

Starting the Sorcerer Class Quest

Starting the Sorcerer class quest in Diablo 4 is a breeze, as it only has two requirements:

  1. Have a Sorcerer character.
  2. Reach level 15 with that Sorcerer character.

That’s it! It’s as simple as that. Once you reach level 15, a new quest called “Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi” will appear in your quest journal under Priority Quests.

With the quest journal open, make sure to “track” the Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi quest. This will allow you to keep tabs on your progress and make it easier to complete the quest.

Completing the Sorcerer Class Quest

Unlike the quests for other classes, the Sorcerer’s class quest, Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi, takes place in the Desolate Highlands of the Fractured Peaks. Fortunately, it’s not too far from the starting town, Kyovashad. While this quest is relatively short, there are a few parts you need to complete to finish it.

Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi: Follow the Call to Find Mordarin

If you have tracked the quest and opened your map, you’ll notice a blue circle at the bottom of the Desolate Highlands. This is where you need to go. Here, you’ll meet a traveling Sorcerer named Mordarin. After a brief conversation, he will ask you to find The Forgotten Codex within the dungeon called Lost Archives, which is infested with Wraiths and Skeletons.

Upon entering the dungeon, you’ll navigate through various areas until you reach the inner dungeon. To unlock this section, you must find two Mechanical Boxes for two separate Mechanical Pedestals. Once you have both boxes, you can open the inner dungeon area and continue your journey.

After some exploration, you’ll stumble upon a glowing chest, easily distinguishable in the dimly lit dungeon. This is the right chest for your quest if it reads “Dust-covered chest.” Open it, and you’ll obtain The Forgotten Codex.

You now have a choice: you can either continue exploring the dungeon or leave and come back later. Personally, I prefer not to backtrack, so I would recommend finishing the dungeon. If you decide to proceed, I highly advise crafting a Weak Elixir of Cold Resistance, which grants 30 minutes of resistance against Cold damage. This will prove beneficial against the dungeon boss.

Alternatively, you can leave the Lost Archives if you wish.

Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi: Return to Mordarin

After either completing or leaving the dungeon, return to Mordarin. Unfortunately, he now desires to enter an Abandoned Shack and perform a ritual, in which you must participate. Speak with Mordarin and enter the Abandoned Shack next to him.

Sorcerer: Legacy of the Magi: Inside the Abandoned Shack

Inside the shack, you’ll need to light four braziers while Mordarin performs his incantations. However, things don’t go as planned, and hellish creatures are summoned. It’s up to you to eliminate them all.

Once you’ve triumphed over the creatures, speak to Mordarin again. He’ll be amazed that his interpretation of the chants went awry. Thankfully, your quest will finally come to an end after this conversation.
