Lost Ark Relic Gear: Set Bonuses & Optimal Sets for Each Class Build
A significant update is on the horizon for Lost Ark, featuring the Valtan Legion raid and the introduction of the new Relic rarity for gear. In this guide, we will explore the various relic gear sets available at level 1445. We will not only delve into the set bonuses of each set but also provide recommendations on the best relic sets to pursue for specific class builds.
What Are Relic Gear in Lost Ark?
Relic gear, also known as Relic equipment, offers more impactful weapon and armor bonuses, along with increased stat bonuses and additional engraving nodes on accessories. Like other gear sets in Lost Ark, a complete Relic set consists of six pieces, including a weapon, helm, chest piece, pants, gloves, and shoulder armor. By equipping multiple pieces from the same Relic set (2 sets, 4 sets, or 6 sets), you can unlock extra set bonuses. To obtain Relic gear, you must craft them using materials obtained from the Valtan raid.
Lost Ark Relic Gear Set Features
- Relic Gear, including weapons and armors, has a base item level of 1340 and can be upgraded to 1575 (+25).
- Higher-level versions of Relic gear become available later on, so you can expect to use these bonuses until at least level 1615. These upgraded versions boast significantly higher raw stats than Legendary gear, making them worth upgrading even if you prefer the set bonuses from Argos or normal Valtan/Vykas gear.
- The materials required to craft Relic gear are primarily obtained from Hard Mode Valtan and Vykas raids. Smaller amounts also drop in Normal mode. However, crafting Relic gear is only possible once you reach item level 1445.
- Each Relic set requires materials from both Valtan and Vykas raids to craft all six parts. Consequently, the full 6-piece set effects cannot be achieved until the Vykas raid is released.
- The values provided in parentheses represent the Level 2 version of the set, which is an upgrade requiring materials obtained from the Normal Mode Kakul-Saydon raid (Item Level 1475).

What Relic Set To Choose For Your Classes (Builds)?
Choosing the right Relic weapons and armors for your class builds can be a daunting task. Here are some tips to help you make the best decisions:
- Supports typically opt for the Swamp of Yearning set instead of Dominion Fang. The Swamp of Yearning set provides a permanent 10% boost to attack speed, move speed, and damage, while also offering an 18% increase in identity gauge.
- Every support class should use the Swamp of Yearning set, as it significantly boosts DPS. By this time, players should aim to maximize their capabilities or consider alternative builds.
- Nightmare Flower is ideal for a reflux build that reduces skill cooldowns to 4-5 seconds (excluding punishing). It enables extremely spammy gameplay and requires the MP regeneration and cooldown reduction provided by the Nightmare set.
- Earth’s Entropy is valuable for classes that rely on resource generation for faster blessed auras (Paladin) or shields (Bard).
- Destructive Grasp works well for Bard, as it offers two skills that increase attack and stack bonuses. Moreover, it allows for permanent debuffing of bosses, resulting in an additional 10% damage.
- Dominion Fang, Shrieking Hallucination, and Nightmare Flower provide similar damage bonuses. However, Dominion Fang sacrifices an engraving slot unless you stack a considerable amount of swiftness. Therefore, it is not as widely used as before.
- Shrieking Hallucination is the go-to set for any class that experiences MP issues.
- Nightmare Flower is excellent if you prioritize crit but prefer to stack specialization or swiftness.
- Feel free to mix and match different sets until you can acquire all six pieces from the Vykas raid.
By considering these tips and understanding the set bonuses provided by each Relic Gear Set, you can make informed decisions on the optimal gear for your class build in Lost Ark.
