The Top Pantheon Skins in League of Legends, Ranked

There are few champions in League of Legends that can raise my excitement quite like Pantheon. And if you’re going to repeatedly kill me under my tower, at least do it in style, right?

So, to ease my suffering just a little, let’s take a look at all of Pantheon’s skins and rank them based on their cool factor and price. It’s worth noting that Pantheon doesn’t have a single objectively bad skin, so this ranking is all about nitpicking.

12. Myrmidon Pantheon

  • Released: February 2nd, 2010
  • Price: 520 RP

We’ll start with one of the more affordable skins in Pantheon’s collection, Myrmidon. As you’d expect from a cheaper skin, it doesn’t offer any new visual or sound effects. It simply gives Pantheon a redesigned character model.

The redesign is decent, showcasing the “warrior theme” effectively. However, it lacks a strong thematic identity compared to the rest of Pantheon’s skins. It’s hard to discern Riot’s intent with this skin purely through its appearance. And honestly, I’m not about to delve into history just to enjoy a Pantheon skin.

While it’s still worth using occasionally, Myrmidon Pantheon wouldn’t be my go-to choice.

11. Full Metal Pantheon

  • Released: August 1st, 2011
  • Price: 975 RP

Full Metal Pantheon is a skin with great potential that falls short in execution. The character model itself is pretty impressive, but there are some factors that detract from its overall appeal.

You see this robotic-looking Pantheon with a cool shield and a robotic ponytail, and you think, “Oh, that’s pretty cool.” His backing animation even gives off Terminator vibes. But then you hear the voiceover, and the illusion shatters. Additionally, the animations are just recolored versions of the base animations, and the splash art is underwhelming.

To make matters worse, there’s another Pantheon skin that explores a futuristic direction and does it better. Perhaps this Pantheon should have remained an Alchemist.

10. Ruthless Pantheon

  • Released: August 8th, 2010
  • Price: 520 RP

Ruthless Pantheon shares a similar issue with the previous skin. Another skin in Pantheon’s collection captures the theme far better. When you look at this skin, you immediately think of Mad Max or Borderlands, which is always a good thing. However, it’s only a character model redesign, limiting the extent to which it can truly shine.

Though the base animations don’t seem out of place with this skin, they don’t exactly enhance its appeal either. The voiceover also feels off. Plus, the fact that my dude is practically in his metal undies raises questions about where he’s pulling that bread from.

That being said, getting killed by a half-naked dude is surprisingly amusing, so Ruthless Pantheon gets some bonus points for that.

9. Perseus Pantheon

  • Released: November 2nd, 2010
  • Price: 750 RP

This skin frustrates me. It could have been an S-class skin if it had some new particles, but alas, life isn’t fair. Design-wise, it’s pretty amazing. Pantheon channels his inner Thanos, wielding Poseidon’s Spear, a Medusa shield, Aries’ helmet, and a dope-looking cape. He even has tiny little Hermes boots!

However, the skin’s potential is dampened when paired with Pantheon’s base animations. Imagine if his E had a Cassiopeia-esque animation or some blue particles. That would have been epic! Unfortunately, this skin sits lower in my ranking due to missed opportunities.

9. Ashen Knight Pantheon

  • Released: June 23rd, 2022
  • Price: 100 Mythic Essence

This skin was highly anticipated but fell short upon release. However, let’s start with the positives. The splash art is absolutely stunning and could pass as a promotional poster for a blockbuster action movie. The backing animation also exudes greatness, making you feel like the undisputed king of the Shadow Realm. The ult’s sound effects and the sight of your angel wings are also noteworthy.

Now, onto the cons. The character model is the most obvious letdown. Why Riot decided to give Pantheon full armor pants but no chest plate is beyond me. It just looks weird, especially since his abs are somewhat see-through. The animations are polished, but the sneaky, mysterious vibe doesn’t mesh well with Pantheon’s loud and brave persona. While this may be an unpopular opinion, it’s how I feel.

6. Pulsefire Pantheon

If the previous entry wasn’t controversial enough, let’s see how I navigate this one. The issue with Pulsefire Pantheon isn’t that it’s a bad skin; it’s just that it doesn’t align with the image of Pantheon in my mind. He isn’t even wearing a helmet, and his gear is so fancy that he looks more like a scientist than a warrior.

However, I can’t deny that the animations are incredible. The loading screen when you charge your Q, the hologram E, and the marking on the ground when you ult all bring the skin to life. Nevertheless, I still prefer my Pantheon old-school and badass, so this skin falls somewhere in the middle of the pack.

5. Baker Pantheon

  • Released: September 7th, 2016
  • Price: 975 RP

Pantheon’s love for baking has become a meme within the League of Legends community, and Riot finally answered our prayers with the Baker Pantheon skin. Although you can’t throw baguettes at enemies as we had hoped, it’s still a delightful addition.

This skin embraces silliness but is exceptionally well-made, featuring brand-new animations and effects. Your E now showers enemies with pie chunks, and there are buttery sound effects throughout. Smaller details, such as pastries circling you while preparing your ult or the Master Chief recall animation, add to the charm.

It deviates from Pantheon’s badass legacy, which is why it doesn’t rank higher, but it’s worth a try if you want a laugh while diving towers.

4. Glaive Warrior Pantheon

  • Released: May 30th, 2012
  • Price: 975 RP

Now, this skin truly captures the essence of Pantheon. A badass fighter equipped with a spear and a shield, ready to dish out some serious pain. The character model even pays homage to Dacian warriors, earning automatic respect from history buffs.

The attention to detail is impeccable, especially with the shield, which puts Mordekaiser’s entire skin lineup to shame. The helmet is also undeniably badass. The ability animations have been tweaked, giving them a grayish tint that complements the overall theme.

Glaive Warrior Pantheon is a well-crafted, historically inspired skin that’s definitely worth considering.

3. Zombie Slayer Pantheon

  • Released: November 5th, 2015
  • Price: 975 RP

You know what’s even better than historically accurate League skins? Skins that depict the apocalypse and utter chaos. I’m a simple man, after all. Zombie Slayer Pantheon delivers on those promises that Ruthless Pantheon failed to fulfill.

This skin has everything: a mohawk, a cool biker helmet, and a chainsaw taped to a stick. What more could you ask for in a spear replacement? And it gets better! The passive and ult come with chainsaw effects, and you even have a jetpack on your back for a stylish takeoff.

I’ve raved about the Pantheon fantasy, and this crazy, mohawk-rocking, chainsaw-wielding, mutated-baguette-loving berserker fits perfectly into that vision.

2. Ascended Pantheon Prestige Edition

  • Released: July 8th, 2021
  • Price: 2000 Sentinels of Light tokens

I usually don’t include Prestige skins as separate entries because they often don’t offer much beyond the original versions. In fact, I usually prefer the original skins over the Prestige versions, considering them mere flex baits. However, Ascended Pantheon Prestige Edition changed my perception entirely.

This skin truly makes you feel like a Greek god, with its blue skin, white and gold armor, and distinguished white beard. Ult-ing into the bot lane feels like you’re bestowing divine punishment upon non-believers. Obtaining this skin can be a challenge, making it even more precious over time. Not everyone is worthy of becoming a god!

So, if you have 2000 Sentinels of Light tokens lying around, don’t hesitate to snatch up this divine masterpiece.

1. Dragonslayer Pantheon

  • Released: May 14th, 2014
  • Price: 1350 RP

If you’re familiar with this skin, you probably expected it to claim the number one spot. Dragonslayer Pantheon is simply unmatched. The only drawback is that you can’t use it on champions other than Pantheon, and I’m not exaggerating.

The shield alone features the Eye of Sauron and even pops up when you charge your Q. Moreover, your E unleashes literal fire from the Eye of Sauron. The recall animation sees you sprouting dragon wings and soaring into the sky. And let’s not forget about your ult, which grants you dragon wings, a wave of fire, and a menacing dragon skull at the forefront to strike fear into your enemies’ hearts.

If all of that fails to impress, there’s also a wide selection of chromas available for this skin. Dragonslayer Pantheon is the epitome of a perfect skin for Pantheon, and I will fight anyone who disagrees.
