Talent Breakdown
When building your talent tree, focus on spending as many points at the bottom of the tree as possible, as those are the strongest points. Here’s a breakdown of talent priorities within each tier:
Tier 1
- Lifebloom, Nature’s Swiftness, Omen of Clarity, and Ysera’s Gift are always chosen, regardless of content.
- Grove Tending is a powerful talent for this tier, so it’s generally advisable to pick it.
- For raiding, choose Abundance, and for Mythic+, choose Cenarion Ward. Use your discretion for other talents in this tier.
Tier 2
- Efflorescence, Tranquility, Ironbark, and Soul of the Forest are must-have talents for any content.
- For raiding, pick Inner Peace, Improved Wild Growth, Cultivation, and Unstoppable Growth.
- For Mythic+, pick Unstoppable Growth and Improved Ironbark.
Tier 3
- There are many great choices in this tier, and their value depends on other talents picked.
- Flourish is a must-have talent for all types of content.
- Raiding Druids have mandatory talents in this tier that contribute to Rejuvenation: Luxuriant Soil, Nurturing Dormancy, Germination, Convoke the Spirits, and Cenarius’ Guidance.
- Mythic+ Druids should pick Adaptive Swarm, Unbridled Swarm, Circle of Life and Death, Photosynthesis, Cenarius’ Guidance, and Undergrowth.
Tier 4
- Every Druid should pick Starfire, Sunfire, and Moonkin Form.
- Frenzied Regeneration and Rake are options for the left side of the first rows. Choose based on your needs.
- Raiding Druids going for a more defensive path should pick Improved Barkskin, Verdant Heart, and Ironfur.
- For Mythic+, Thrash and Rip are usually the best choices.
Tier 5
- Every Druid should pick Natural Recovery, Thick Hide, Soothe, Astral Influence, Rising Light, Falling Night, and Stampeding Roar.
- Right side talents into Nature’s Vigil are recommended for every spec.
Tier 6
- Mythic+ Restoration Druids should generally go through the middle Bear talents and pick Thick Hide, Incapacitating Roar, Well-Honed Instincts, Renewal, and either Wild Charge or Tiger Dash.
Tier 7
- Every Druid should pick Lycara’s Teachings, Ursol’s Vortex, Innervate, and Nature’s Vigil.
- Spend the remaining points on Well-Honed Instincts or damage talents.
War Mode
Enabling War Mode provides benefits such as PvP talents in the outdoor world, increased World Quest rewards, bonus experience while leveling, and Conquest Points for weekly gear rewards. However, it also exposes you to open-world PvP risks.
It is recommended to enable War Mode to maximize leveling efficiency and rewards, but be aware of the possibility of PvP encounters while doing World Quests.
PvP Talents for Leveling and PvE
Certain PvP talents can enhance your leveling and solo/small group PvE experience. Here are some rankings:
- Thorns: Offers a direct damage increase, useful for dealing significant damage on big pulls.
- Master Shapeshifter: Provides a robust damage increase in Cat Form and Moonkin Form.
Disentanglement, Entangling Bark, Deep Roots, Focused Growth, and Early Spring have limited effects on increasing damage or healing in PvE content.
With these optimal builds and talents, you can choose the best options for your Restoration Druid and tackle any challenge in Dragonflight 10.1.7.
