The Diablo 4 (D4) beta may have a maximum player level of 25, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on gear with levels as high as 35. In this guide, we’ll show you how to farm and imprint stats onto level 35 gear, as well as provide recommendations for the best level 35 gear to acquire.
Farming Level 35 and Level 25+ Gear
1. Locate the Formidable “Wrathful” Osgar Reede
The key to obtaining level 35 gear lies in encountering the elite enemy known as “Wrathful” Osgar Reede. Defeating him will grant you access to gear that includes the remarkable level 35 Rare Mace, the Mace of Blazing Furor.
You can find Osgar Reede to the west of Nostrava, in the far west section of Fractured Peaks, within the Pallid Glade region.
2. Defeat “Wrathful” Osgar Reede
Be prepared for a challenging battle when facing Osgar, as he himself is level 35. However, with your character at level 25, you should be able to handle the encounter with caution and strategy.
If you find Osgar to be too formidable for your current level, you can always team up with other players who are hunting him. Partake in the fight and claim your share of the spoils at its conclusion. Remember, all drops are personal, so there’s no need to feel guilty about letting others help you.
3. Claim Your Rewards
Upon defeating Osgar, you will acquire the Level 35 Mace of Blazing Furor, along with other potential Level 25+ gear drops. Even if you’re not playing as a Barbarian, you can still acquire high-level gear suitable for your chosen class.
4. Respawn and Repeat
After a brief period, Osgar will respawn, allowing you to continue farming for as long as needed until you have a complete set of Level 25+ gear.
Please note that while you may possess the gear, you can’t use it right away due to the level requirement. This is where the concept of “imprinting” comes into play.
Lowering the Level Restriction
Imprint an Aspect on the Gear
By imprinting an aspect onto your Level 25+ gear, you can not only lower the level requirement but also add a legendary affix of your choice. This can be achieved by sacrificing a piece of legendary gear that you already own.
1. Seek Out the Occultist
To initiate the imprinting process, make your way to the Occultist in Kyovashad.
2. Extract Your Desired Aspect
At the Occultist, opt for the “Extract Aspect” option. Select a piece of legendary gear to extract and convert into an aspect. This newly obtained aspect can then be added to your Level 25+ gear as a unique legendary affix.
3. Imprint the Aspect onto Your Gear
Choose the “Imprint Aspect” option and place your chosen Level 25+ gear in the top slot. Insert the aspect you obtained in the slot below.
This will result in a newly improved legendary gear piece that retains the same stats but carries a reduced level requirement. Additionally, the legendary affix from the imprinted aspect will be present.
By adhering to these steps, you can obtain Level 35 gear in the Diablo 4 beta and enhance it to suit your needs. Remember to be patient and diligent in your farming efforts. Enlist the aid of others, if necessary, to overcome formidable enemies and obtain the coveted gear pieces.
