As offline tournaments regain their momentum and top players showcase the potential of previously underrated characters, the Smash Ultimate meta is experiencing significant changes. In light of these developments and our extended experimentation with the powerful Fighter’s Pass 2 characters, we have made substantial revisions to our tier list.
Notable Changes to Our Tier List

| Kazuya | A → A+ | The character’s meta has matured significantly since release. |
| Palutena | A+ → A | Various nerfs, including those introduced in Update 11.0, have reduced her killing power and general neutral game. |
Sora Kept in A Tier
Sora, the final DLC addition from Fighter’s Pass 2, initially debuted in the A tier due to their formidable combo game and remarkable recovery. After witnessing their performance in major tournaments and analyzing the results, we have decided to maintain Sora’s placement for now.

Character Tier List Criteria
Based on Tournament Ruleset (1 on 1, No items, etc)
Our tier lists were formulated taking the following rules into consideration:
- 1 on 1 matches
- 3 stocks
- No items
- Tournament viable stages only (e.g., Battlefield, Final Destination, etc.)
Additionally, the tier list presented here specifically reflects offline Smash Ultimate gameplay. Since some characters may be affected differently by the online environment, we recommend checking our Online Tier List for character rankings in online matches.

Potential and Matchup Spread
By immersing ourselves in countless hours of gameplay with and against the entire roster, we meticulously evaluated each character’s strengths, weaknesses, and matchup spread. Characters with a greater number of winning matchups were ranked more favorably.
Offline Results Factored In
While not the sole determining factor, we also considered statistical data pertaining to characters’ win rates and tournament performance in offline competitions. This data offers valuable objective evidence of a character’s power and complemented our own findings.
