The Power of Hero’s Burden

Hero’s Burden has always been a reliable weapon, but this season it received some exciting changes. The standout alteration is the addition of Destabilizing Rounds, a new Void perk that turns slain enemies into ticking time bombs. With this perk, you’ll send enemies running for cover!

A Word of Caution

While Hero’s Burden is a force to be reckoned with, it’s important to address some concerns. The recent Nerfs to the cooldowns of the Volatile perk have affected its efficacy. Additionally, there are other weapons that can be modified to have Void Volatile Rounds, such as Funnelweb SMGs.

However, the most reliable method, using the artifact perk that grants Volatile Rounds through orbs, will no longer be available after this season. So, unless you want to rely solely on grenade kills or other SMGs like Gyrfalcon, Hero’s Burden is your best bet.

Unleash the Power of Hero’s Burden

Despite the naysayers, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my Hero’s Burden with Destabilizing Rounds, especially on my Titan. Volatile serves as a healing tool, making it incredibly beneficial in intense combat situations. My personal roll includes Under Pressure/Destabilizing, which may not be perfect, but it gets the job done efficiently.

However, if you want the ultimate god roll for Hero’s Burden, look out for Feeding Frenzy/Destabilizing Rounds. This combination ensures lightning-fast reloads, perfect for clearing mobs with ease.

The Hunt for Hero’s Burden

Unfortunately, obtaining Hero’s Burden isn’t as straightforward as we’d like. If you don’t already have this weapon, you won’t be able to target it using Iron Engrams from Saladin. Additionally, it’s not part of the reward track this season, making it a random drop or from a random engram turn-in. The odds may not be in your favor, but the reward is worth the effort.

A Lost Opportunity

It’s worth mentioning that there used to be a version of Hero’s Burden with Repulsor Brace, which allowed for constant overshield generation when acquiring Volatile Rounds through other means. Unfortunately, this roll is no longer available. But don’t let that deter you from pursuing the current version of Hero’s Burden!

Final Thoughts

I absolutely adore this weapon. Hero’s Burden feels incredible to wield, and it’s a refreshing change from the Funnelweb archetype. Plus, the SUROS Origin Trait gives an initial boost to stats, making it even more formidable. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and secure your very own Hero’s Burden.
