How to Master Zed in TFT Set 8

Zed is making his return in Teamfight Tactics Set Eight Monsters Attack! This time, he’s equipped with a new strategy to infiltrate the enemy’s backline.

Zed possesses a unique ability called Empowered Kill Mode. When activated, he teleports behind his target, marking them for death and weakening their armor. Additionally, Zed’s attacks deal bonus physical damage during this mode, and every third attack inflicts percentage-based physical damage to adjacent enemies. With a maximum mana of 40, Zed can easily activate his ability once it becomes available.

Trait Synergies for Zed in TFT Set Eight

Zed boasts three powerful traits: Duelist, Laser Corps, and Hacker. The Duelist trait enhances the attack speed of all Duelists, granting bonus attack speed up to 10 stacks. Each breakpoint reached further increases the value of attack speed granted by each stack.

With the Laser Corps trait, Zed gains combat drones. These drones deal magic damage to the champion’s target when the champions with drones engage in combat or get attacked. When a Laser Corps unit dies, its drone gets reassigned to the nearest living Laser Corps unit. As the trait levels up, the damage dealt by the drones increases, and at the highest level, each Laser Corps champion receives an extra drone.

The Hacker trait opens up a new path to reach the enemy backline, a skill often reserved for Assassins. Activating the Hacker trait grants Hacker champions omnivamp and summons an H4ckerr!m unit. This unit carries a champion to the enemy back row at the start of combat, rendering the carried unit untargetable for the initial few seconds. Each breakpoint enhances the percentage of omnivamp granted.

Zed’s traits in TFT Set Eight amplify his power, but the true potential is unlocked when combined with the Hacker trait, allowing him to swiftly reach and eliminate enemy carries.

Optimal Items for Zed in TFT Set Eight

Zed’s ability incorporates several effects, with the most significant being the percentage of attack damage he applies when attacking all adjacent enemies every third strike. Consequently, AD (attack damage) items are highly effective on Zed. The top choices for Zed include Edge of Night, Giant Slayer, and Deathblade. Additionally, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Bloodthirster are viable alternatives.

Compositions Featuring Zed in TFT Set Eight

To utilize Zed as your primary carry and decimate enemy backlines, it’s crucial to activate all of your synergies, particularly the Hacker trait. Acquiring early-game AD item components or Hero Augments for Hacker or Zed provides a solid foundation for assembling a Zed composition.

For a strong early-game, consider activating the Laser Corps trait by utilizing the affordable Ashe units. Also, collect items suitable for Zed and Renekton, as well as Sejuani and Yasuo.

During the midgame, focus on incorporating other Duelist units to bolster Zed’s strength. Additionally, Zoe’s synergy with Zed activates the Hacker trait, while Ekko provides a sturdy frontline.

Towards the endgame, Sejuani and Alistar can form a reliable frontline. You can position the H4ckerr!m unit strategically to move Zed closer to the enemy carry.

By following these strategies, you’ll maximize Zed’s potential and dominate the battlefield in TFT Set Eight.
