Cosmic Crucible: Countering the Best Defense Teams

Introduction

When we published the Defensive Team Counters article, we received positive feedback. However, many of you requested that we separate Counters for Cosmic Crucible and Alliance War. The reason behind this request was to make the content more user-friendly, eliminating the need for players to check if the suggested counter is suitable for their current game mode.

In order to assist MSF players to the best of our abilities, we have decided to divide the counters as you requested. In this article, we will provide strategies on how to counter the popular and/or Meta defenses, including those mentioned in our Cosmic Crucible-best Defense Teams article.

Please note that the content on this page is not yet complete. While you can view all available counters, the descriptions and combat tactics have not yet been written.

Explanation

Each stage will display the name of the defensive team, along with a list of possible counters below. At the top of the page, you will find a list of teams. By clicking on a team’s name, you will be instantly redirected to their list of counters, along with a brief explanation for each counter. Additionally, next to each counter team, you will see a symbol representing the punch up potential.

The symbols are as follows:

  • 10% Punch Down – ▼
  • Even Match Up – ⊜
  • 5% Punch Up – ▲
  • 10% Punch Up – ▲▲
  • 20%+ Punch Up – ▲▲▲

Season 4

Season 4 is on the horizon, bringing with it some exciting changes. First, the Global Effects will not nerf any specific team, unlike last season when Gamma and Darkhold had a -10% penalty to their stats. Instead, these effects will boost the New Warriors team, providing them with increased Crit Chance and Crit Damage per Charge, as well as Regen when they attack a target with Blind. While the team’s value has been slightly increased, it is not a significant change.

Another refreshing change is the absence of stages that mention specific teams. This allows for a wider range of options when selecting your defense. As for rooms, only one room carries over from the previous season – Building Momentum. However, even that room has undergone some changes.

Please note that every counter listed below should function as intended based on our experience and theory-crafting. However, as the season progresses, things may change. We may discover that certain counters work better, while others may not be as effective. Rest assured, we will continuously update this page to reflect any changes.
