Survivor.io Chapter Guide 2023: Unlocking the Secrets

Survivor.io Chapter 12: A Defensive Approach

Written by @Excess EXP (XSXP)

In this chapter, you’ll face six challenging levels designed in a vertical layout. To tackle them, you’ll need the right set of weapons and upgrades. With ATK 1150 and HP 3424 (with Better Kunai), you’ll have a solid foundation.

It is highly recommended to adopt a defensive playstyle by utilizing brick+fitness guide and Defender. The RPG and Brick will prove invaluable in overcoming early obstacles and reaching otherwise inaccessible turrets.

If you manage to evolve into Shuriken between 2-6 minutes, seize the advantage and force spawn as many items as possible. Equip the neckguard and aim for a 5/5 hi-power build for an added edge. While I chose Destroyer for this run, you can opt for other options depending on your playstyle.

When facing mobs and elites, be aware of their unique characteristics. Red Teslas shoot in a triangle formation, while Blue Teslas fire vertically. The Purple Engineer Elite stalls to spawn minions, so position yourself strategically. Lastly, the Yellow Teslas Elite shoots in the same nine directions each time, so find the gap and stand there.

Confronting the bosses, Mawflower is surprisingly manageable. By standing still and evading its projectiles, you can easily avoid damage. Just remember to eliminate the little flowers it spawns. Devourer, while not as challenging, can still pack a punch with its spray blooms and mob spawns. The Chairman, similar to the Director, hops around and causes blue explosions. Take caution during its phone-throwing intervals. For more in-depth boss strategies, refer to our boss guide.

Survivor.io Chapter 13: Mastering the Closed Design

Written by @Excess EXP (XSXP)

In Chapter 13, you’ll encounter a level design that is more confined. With ATK 1166 and HP 4295 (with Better Bat), you’ll possess the necessary firepower.

To optimize your build, prioritize the Bat evolution and synergize it with Brick, Fitness Guide, Lightning Emitter, and Energy Cube. RPG, Drill, Soccer, and their respective passives will round out your playstyle. I suggest evolving your Bat before tackling the second boss to ensure survival.

When facing mobs and elites, you’ll primarily encounter droids and engineers, so nothing entirely new. When using the Bat, manually turn your character towards the enemy before running away during cooldown. For added space, position yourself near a bomb and use it after the elite has spawned to deal damage.

Boss battles will consist of familiar foes, except for the Queen Papillon. This unique boss combines the traits of all the previous papillons. Keep an eye out for her rushing attacks and purple projectiles. She will also spawn smaller papillon mobs and unleash heat-seeking purple projectiles. Beware of the larger, slower projectile that follows your every move until it is destroyed by a bomb.

Survivor.io Chapter 14: Embracing the Open Design

Written by @Excess EXP (XSXP)

In Chapter 14, the level design opens up, presenting new challenges. Equipped with ATK 1332 and HP 4344 (with Kunai), you’ll have the power to overcome them.

For a successful run, I recommend utilizing Kunai due to the bosses’ high mobility and the inherent hazards of getting too close. Take advantage of the skills I have taken, and prioritize evolving Guardian or Kunai first, followed by the other. With a bit of luck and strategic decision-making, this chapter can be relatively easy.

When encountering mobs and elites, keep an eye out for the new elite, an orange phage-like droid. Though it doesn’t move or shoot projectiles, it spawns three army men. Dispose of them quickly before they can shoot their bullets, or use the Defender to block their attacks effectively. Utilize bombs strategically to create openings for hit-and-run tactics.

During boss battles, maintain constant movement against Corpsehound as it charges up its rush attack. For Director, position yourself in a corner off-screen to have the freedom to dodge in any direction. Focus on dodging while your skills dish out damage automatically. Applying the same strategy to Sapper Worm B, conserve your shield and wait for the shuriken to finish it off.
