How TFT Set 8/8.5 Augments Enhance Gameplay

Riot Games has permanently incorporated Augments as a mechanic in Teamfight Tactics (TFT). With over 160 evergreen Set Eight/8.5 Augments and 118 Hero Augments, TFT players now have more strategic options than ever before.

Augments are divided into three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Prismatic. Throughout a game of TFT, different variations of Augments will appear at Stages 2-1, 3-2, and 4-2.

The main focus of Set Eight is Hero Augments. Each of the 59 champions in Monsters Attack! has two Augments: one carry and one support. Although there is a low chance of no Hero Augments appearing, players can expect at least one Hero Augment per game. These Augments can appear at any stage and in any of the three Augment tiers.

In TFT Set 8.5, Hero Augments take center stage. Armories offer three options and a roll-down option, allowing players to select from two Hero Augments for each Monster’s Attack! champion. The Carry and Support Hero Augments give players more control over their team composition and strategy.
