Where to Find All 12 Memory of Darkness Collectible Locations in Ghosts of the Deep
The Dungeon is not excessively sprawling like the Duality, but the Memory fragments are still easy to overlook, and it may take multiple runs to find them all. As you navigate the Dungeon and descend into its exploration sections, keep your eyes peeled for these striking blue Calcified-Fragment-like collectibles.
Memory of Darkness #1 – First Encounter
The first collectible is hidden in the initial encounter area. After leaving the spawn location, you’ll come across a group of trees near a small cliff edge. Leap over those trees and descend into a secret underground room, where you’ll find the first Memory of Darkness awaiting your discovery.
Memory of Darkness #2 – Turbines
Memories 2-10 are all located in the space between the first and second encounters. To find the second Memory of Darkness, progress forward until you reach a large white room where you must jump through a fence to continue. Once inside this room, head to the back and climb up until you reach the dark red room on the right side of the hallway. There, you’ll uncover the second memory fragment.
Memory of Darkness #3 – Neon Glow
The third memory fragment can be found as you navigate through a tunnel and proceed straight ahead until you encounter a well-lit room illuminated with neon lights. Look for a platform off to the left, where the third fragment awaits.
Memory of Darkness #4 – Pillar
To locate the fourth fragment, look for a pillar with spinning platforms rotating around it. Leap up to the top platform and press your Interact button to claim the fourth Memory of Darkness.
Memory of Darkness #5 – Orange Doors
As you continue your descent and reach the water, you’ll encounter a slightly open door illuminated by orange lights. Slip through the opening and collect the fifth fragment before moving on.
Memory of Darkness #6 – Catwalk
Further down the Dungeon, you’ll come across the first of the propellers that boost you into the first checkpoint rooms. After passing the fan, you’ll spot the fragment on a catwalk just on the other side of the platform.
Memory of Darkness #7 – Broken Glass
Continue your descent until you stumble upon an area with broken glass. Follow the wall to the left, where an opening highlighted by a red spotlight awaits. Head out and to the left to claim the seventh fragment.
Memory of Darkness #8 – Spotlight
As you progress, you’ll encounter a long drop that leads you back into the water. Upon landing, you’ll notice a slightly glowing spotlight behind you. Make your way towards it, and the eighth fragment will be within reach.
Memory of Darkness #9 – Hive Ship Detour
When you reach the Hive ship’s engine at the edge of a cliff, instead of following the path to the left, take a sharp right turn. Here, you’ll find the fragment resting on a piece of coral.
Memory of Darkness #10 – Water Spill
The tenth Memory of Darkness fragment is located in the Hive Ship, just before you reach the second encounter. Enter the room with the tubes that spit you out onto the catwalks. One of the tubes has its output pointing slightly downward, with water pouring out. Inside that tube, you’ll find the tenth fragment.
Memory of Darkness #11 – Fenced In
After the second encounter, as you continue your underwater traversal, you’ll come across some stairs that prompt you to turn right. Instead, examine the black fence with water running in front of it to discover the second-to-last fragment.
Memory of Darkness #12 – Oryx’s Grave
The twelfth and final Memory of Darkness fragment can be found in the final boss arena, where you navigate around the resting place of Oryx’s corpse. Once you’ve completed the encounter, head back into the cave where the Lucent Hive Acolyte is fought. There, you’ll encounter the circle and Taken King symbols from the boss fight. Align them as you did during the encounter, and a new path will open next to the Taken King symbol. Enter this path to collect your last Memory of Darkness fragment.
